Our little Waco YMF-5 is now available as a complete short kit with plans, photo illustrated construction manual, and laser cut parts.

Our little Waco YMF-5 will be featured as a construction article in the March, 2008 Flying Models magazine. We will start offering laser cut parts to go with the plans that will be available from Flying Models.

Our new LTR-14 Turner Special was chosen as the best pro-civilian model in the first Scale Model Build-Off on R/C Groups.com.  We'd like to thank all those who voted for us, it means a lot.  You can see the build thread here.  The plans are being cleaned up and prepared for publishing. The Turner Special came in a bit heavier than planned, but it does not appear to hurt the performance. It is a good all around sport plane and it slows down fine for landings.

Our new 1/12 scale Waco YMF-5 is flying now and it is also being prepared for publishing. The Waco has turned out to be a very gentle flyer.  The slide out battery tray works great and makes changing the battery a snap. Final weight came in at 15oz, and with the AstroFlight Geared 010 and 3S TP1320 Lipo pack it will fly for over 20 minutes.

The DH-88 Comet short kit is now available. The plans are available from Model Airplane News (plan #FSP0407A).

We have two new projects nearing completion; a 1/12 scale Waco YMF-5 and a 1/6 scale Laird-Truner Special (LTR-14). Stay tuned for more information as these new creations take flight.

We have just received word that our de Havilland DH-88 Comet is scheduled to be published in the April 2007 Model Airplane News. So, your wait is nearing an end. We will have short kits including laser cut parts and a vacuum formed canopy available when it hits the news stands.

We are now able to provide the plans to go along with our Hughes H-1 short kit. A new illustrated construction manual will also be included with all kits.

We have improved our H-1 short kit with the addition of a new laminated cowl. This greatly reduces the shape and sanding required. Notches are integrated into the cowl for hard wood mounting blocks to make installing the firewall a snap.  This will be included in all new kits and is available for current kit builders for US $10.00 (Includes shipping).

T&J Models has teamed up with Vinyl Graphics by Greg to bring you decals for our model designs. We have worked with Greg and sent him CAD files of all the call numbers and markings for the Hughes H-1 Racer and three variants of the DH-88 Comet. Greg uses a high quality, self-adhesive vinyl and they come ready to apply. Please contact Greg for more details and specify "T&J Models H-1", "Comet Grosvenor House", "Comet the Green One", or "Comet Black Magic" when ordering.  These are just the things to finish off your little piece of history.

It has just been brought to our attention that the Hughes H-1 plans being printed by the AMA are missing the front windshield template. You can download a pdf file with the missing information here.
